Publishing Using Dreamweaver

In order to publish using Dreamweaver v. 4.0 to your 866GetHost.com Hosting account, please follow the steps provided below:-

1) From the Site window, choose Site -> Define Sites

 

 

2) Select the site you wish to publish, and click Edit

3) Click Remote Info

Access: FTP
FTP Host: domainname.extension (example: mysite.com )
Host Directory: /domainname/htdocs (example: /866getdomains.com/htdocs)
Login: server username
Password: server password
Click OK

This should connect you to your server. To publish, you may select to publish the entire site, or single pages. Simply right-click on the whole directory, or the individual file -> Select Put

It will then ask if you wish to include Dependent Files. You choose Yes or No depending on what you prefer. Typically you would say Yes.
