Web
Statistics / Log Files
The
statistics and log reporting area is located from within your Domain
Manager of the Hosting Control Panel. You MUST log onto your
Control Panel to setup any and all Hosted Domains that require any
type of statistical reporting.
IMPORTANT:
This feature is DISABLED until you log on to configure each
Domain that requires web stats reporting.
866GetHost.com
provides you the ability to have ANALOG only, RAW LOGS,
or both. You have the options of choosing the frequency of your
reporting, the day of the week of reporting, and you may setup each
Hosted Domain with its own configuration of statistical reporting.
RAW
LOGS
Raw
log format allows you to FTP to your server and download the files.
This format is especially useful for those that are using another
application for analysis, such as WebTrends. To access the Raw Logs,
you must FTP to the LOGS directory. The filename will be in the
format:- domain-DateofLog.gz
Example:
Domain Name: WebStats.com
Raw Log Format: webstats.com-06-08-02.gz
ANALOG
REPORTS
This
is typically what most clients will require. These reports are accessible
via any web browser. Reports in this format will show in your /htdocs
directory of the Domain Name. They actually go into a directory
called reports/date/index.html. As they are in this format you may
view them in your browser at :-http://domain.com/reports/06-08-02/index.html

you require more information on how to read your Analog Reports,
or on definations on the terminology used, please click here.
