Password Management Admin

As a client of 866GetHost.com, you have the ability to update and change your Password at anytime. For security reasons, we recommend that you change your server password often, and especially recommend that passwords are changed whenever there are staff changes.

CHANGE PASSWORD

  1. Log onto your Hosting Control Manager
  2. Select SECURITY OPTIONS from the left navigation menu
  3. Click on CHANGE CURRENT PASSWORD

You will be prompted with the USER PASSWORD CHANGE dialog box. You may change the password for your FTP Access, your access to the Control Manager or both. This allows you to have different passwords for either, or choose to keep them the same.

  1. Type in your "new" password, in the Password field
  2. Confirm your new password, by re-typing it in the appropriate area
  3. By default, the checkmarks will be "on" indicating that both the 866GetControl.com and Main FTP Access areas will be affected by the Password change. De-select either, if you wish to change only one or the other passwords.
